Summer sounds are back

Live music will be back on the Geraldton Foreshore this weekend with the highly anticipated return of Sundays by the Sea.

Encapsulating everything we love about Geraldton, Sundays by the Sea provides the perfect excuse to round out the weekend on a picnic blanket, in the company of family and friends whilst listening to fantastic local musicians and enjoying a bite to eat.

Kickstarting Sunday 21 January, City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said there is a talent stacked lineup of performers locked in for the upcoming season.

“Nothing exemplifies our lifestyle more than the opportunity to sit near the ocean, enjoying head bopping tunes with your loved ones as the sun sets,” he said

“It doesn’t get much better!

“So mark it in your calendar, invite your favourite people, enjoy some local eats and let the kids loose to dance and have the best time.”

Sundays by the Sea is a free, all ages event that takes place weekly on a Sunday afternoon in Stow Gardens - with a different local performer and food vans each week.

The series will begin on 21 January with Carly Markham and go through until 19 May 2024 (excluding Public Holidays and Shore Leave Festival weekend on 28 April).

From 21 January to 24 March, food will commence from 4:30pm with music from 5-7pm. And from 7 April onwards, food will commence from 3:30pm with music from 4-6pm.

Sundays by the Sea is made possible through part funding from Rio Tinto for the City’s Youth Vibrancy Officer role.
